Who we are
This website is run by Texas Fleet Buyers, a business that buys vehicle fleets from other businesses. “We” and “us” in this policy mean Texas Fleet Buyers.
What we collect
What you send in the inquiry form
- Approximate vehicle count, vehicle types, the ZIP code and optional region where the vehicles are kept, and whether they’re at one location or several.
- Your name, company name and email address, and, if you choose, a phone number, your selling timeline and notes.
- Any vehicle list you attach (CSV or .xlsx files up to 10 MB each).
The form doesn’t ask for bank details, identity documents, title scans, lender account numbers or passwords. Please don’t include them in notes or files.
Information collected when you submit
- A one-way, keyed code derived from your IP address, used to limit abuse of the form. We don’t store the IP address itself with your inquiry.
- How long the form was open before it was sent, used to filter automated spam.
- Campaign details, if you arrived from an ad or a tagged link: campaign tags (such as utm_source), ad click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid or msclkid), the first page you visited on this site and the website that referred you. We keep these with your inquiry to understand which pages and referrals lead to inquiries.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security and operations.
Browser storage and cookies
- While you have the site open, your browser’s session storage keeps your first-step form choices (vehicle count range, vehicle types and location answer) and campaign tags, so they carry over between pages. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. Your contact details, ZIP code and files are never kept in browser storage.
- After you send an inquiry, a short-lived cookie holds your inquiry reference so the confirmation page can show it. It expires after 30 minutes.
- This site doesn’t use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
How we use it
- To review your inquiry and contact you about it.
- To discuss and, if we both agree, complete a purchase of your vehicles.
- To keep a record of inquiries and what happened with them.
- To protect the form from spam and abuse.
- To understand which pages, search referrals and advertising lead to inquiries and suitable fleets.
We don’t sell your information. We don’t add you to marketing emails because you sent an inquiry. If you give a phone number, it’s used to call you about your inquiry; we don’t send marketing texts or use automated dialing.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that host this website, store data and deliver email for us, and only so they can provide those services. We may also share it with professional advisers, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and attached files only as long as we need them to respond, to pursue a purchase we’re discussing with you, and to meet legal obligations. Then we delete them.
How we protect it
Uploaded files are checked when they arrive and stored privately. They aren’t available at any public web address. Access is limited to the people who handle inquiries.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your inquiry and any files you sent.
Children
This website is for businesses and isn’t directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
